Long Art Summer – Artist Series

In appreciation of the local artists who have given free demonstrations for the past two Long Art Summers, this summer we will be providing a special lecture series for our artists. These lectures will cover business basics to help you successfully sell your work. Just like the Long Art Summer, these lectures will be free to anyone who would like to attend. There will be a total of 5 lectures, the titles and dates are listed below.

 

June 14th & July 12th talks will be held on Saturday afternoons from 1 to 3 PM.

June 19th, July 17th, August 7th & 14th talks will be held on Thursday evenings from 5:30 to 7:00 PM.

  • creating electronic files

 

Photographing your artwork and prepping images

Thursday, July 17 from 5:30 to 7 PM

  • lighting
  • accurate color reproduction
  • prepping images for print and web

 

Letterhead, business card, envelope design (LBE) and postcards/ invites

Thursday, August 7 from 5:30 to 7 PM

  • principles of good design
  • layout considerations
  • mailing considerations
