This 6-week series introduces the fundamentals of Hatha yoga in the unique environment of the LeMoyne Center for the Visual Arts. Students with varying capabilities will benefit from the structure of this series. This series is taught in a sequential manner to help students build confidence, strength and flexibility. Whether you are stepping into your first yoga class or you are a yogi seeking a new experience, everyone will walk away with an appreciation for Hatha yoga.

Series:

Week One: Sun Salutations and Moon Salutation

Week Two: Warrior Poses and Variations

Week Three: Balancing Postures

Week Four: Seated Postures and Twists

Week Five: Backbends

Week Six: Inversions and Resting Postures

Information on our instructor:

Natalie Spindle came to Tallahassee in 2009 to attend Florida State University. In the process, yoga became a great channel to release stress and explore flexibility. She is now a certified 200 hour Hatha yoga instructor. With yoga helping her in all aspects of her life, she felt compelled to spread yoga to help express creativity and teach others. Several years of practice and encouragement from instructors lead her to pursue a yoga teacher-training program at Yoga Unlimited.

After dabbling in circus arts and pole fitness, yoga has taken a new meaning and provides Natalie with the time to venture into what the body can learn. She works to help others have fun and most of all to find the benefits of an honest yoga practice. Her work with seniors and bodies of all kinds shows her dedication to adapting yoga for all. Natalie is constantly working to modify postures and go the extra step to help everyone improve in their own yoga journey.
