Beginner Pottery Wheel ThursdaysThis 8-week class is designed to teach the fundamentals of working with clay on the potter’s wheel–no prior experience is necessary. Students will learn the process of making pots on the wheel from start to finish including wedging, centering, throwing basic shapes, trimming, and glazing.
Class discussions will include clay, glaze, equipment, safety, tools, and the fi ring process to provide students with a fuller understanding of the pottery process. If you are brand new to clay or looking to reinforce your foundational skills, this class is for you. Experience Level: Beginner, Beginner Plus No prior clay experience required. Student work will be available for pick up 1-3 weeks after the end of class. Enrollment includes one 25 lb. bag of clay! |
