HOLIDAY CERAMIC PLATTERS
Create a beautiful platter to serve your best holiday treats or give as a gift! Potter-in-residence Nancy Jefferson will teach you to hand build a platter using a variety of molds to shape it. Then, work with surface decoration techniques like stencils, sgraffito, and color with underglazes to make a one-of-a-kind piece of functional art.
Ceramics require a two-part firing process. You will use underglaze to decorate your piece at this one-day workshop; then, we will finish it for you with a clear glaze on top. You will be able to pick up your finished platter on December 18.
