Jo Shoupe: A Memorial & Exhibition

This event is a celebration of the life of award-winning artist JoAnne Shoupe. Jo was a celebrated artist and longtime member of the Professional Photography Association. She photographed many families in Tallahassee and participated in several art festivals across Florida.
She was one of the first contract artists at Lemoyne and worked with Dick Puckett, the first director of Lemoyne. Jo was also loved by many, and she ran her own photography studio for 30 years.
Works by Shoupe will be on view in the Puckett Gallery from 2-4PM on Saturday, January 4 and will be for sale. Proceeds will benefit LeMoyne and the artist's family. Visitors are welcome to bring their personal portraits and share at the event.

This exhibition showcases works by Joe Roache, an established Tallahassee-based artist and LeMoyne instructor. The evolution of his artistic skill throughout the past 30 years will be illustrated through this body of work. Regarding his influences, the artist states he is largely inspired by "Jazz, Blues music and other themes of Black American life."
