Intermediate WheelThis 8-week intermediate wheel-throwing class builds on foundational knowledge and focuses on refining techniques. Students should be able to center 2 pounds of clay on the wheel. Projects will vary based on the skill level of the students, and may include lidded pots, modular vessels, sets (matching/ nesting, etc.). Surface decorating techniques may include carving, sgraffito, sprigging, slip additions, and water etching. Students are encouraged to bring ideas for projects. Each student will make multiple pieces to take home.
Student work will be available for pick up 1-2 weeks after the end of the class. Enrollment includes one 25 lb. bag of clay! |
