Introduction to Book Illustration​

This class will introduce the basics of book illustration for adults. We will begin the first half of the course exploring different illustrator’s styles and learn about various approaches to storytelling. This will include media exploration, sketchbook journaling and creative writing. In the second half of the course, we will shift the focus and apply these skills to your own story ideas. ​​

​ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Kyle Maurey​​
​Kyle Maurey is a Tallahassee born artist who loves illustration. She studied at Savannah College of Art and Design before returning to teach art in town. Her hobbies include spending time in nature and with her dog Challah and her foster cats. She loves to create and share all types artistic adventures including watercolor, acrylics and drawing.
