INTRODUCTION TO DIGITAL GRAPHIC DESIGN
This course is intended for beginners interested in learning the fundamentals of Computer Art and Digital Graphic Design. Utilizing Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator, students will be introduced to the basics of graphic design including typography, color theory, graphic file formats and layout principles. Students will learn how to create and edit well-designed digital graphics for personal and professional use. Students must bring their own laptop and have access to Adobe Creative Cloud software.
Time: 6 - 8 PM

Fee: $125 for members, $135 for non-members

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Mark Bauer is an accomplished graphic designer, digital artist and filmmaker and co-founder of the Tally Shorts Film Festival. In his fifteen years' of professional experience, Mark believes strongly in the need for emerging digital artists to hone the essential knowledge and skills necessary to keep up in an ever-changing and demanding world of technology. Mark has always been passionate about making learning more accessible and engaging. He has experience designing for digital platforms including web, apps, social, and gaming interfaces as well as for traditional print media. Mark has won various design and filmmaking awards and holds a master’s degree in Media and Communication Studies as well as a bachelor’s degree in Fine/Studio art.
