INTRODUCTION TO HAND LETTERING
This eight-week course will cover the foundations of hand-lettering with paint and a brush. It will include lessons on getting to know your supplies (brush sizes, paper weights, and mixing your paint), learning the correct way to hold a brush, various hand-lettering techniques, and converting your natural handwriting into a unique font that can be used artistically, as well as in your daily-life. At the end of the eight-week course, you will have cultivated a skill-set that can be applied to various creative outlets, and have gained confidence in your artistic abilities.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Eliza Schneider-Green is an artist, photographer, painter, singer, songwriter, and art historian in Tallahassee, Fl. She has been active in the Tallahassee art scene since 2012, with her work being exhibited in numerous local galleries and published in several local, regional, and international publications, including the Tallahassee Democrat, Tallahassee Magazine, Flamingo Mag, EYRIE, as well as Vintage Style, the latest book publication from Uppercase Magazine. She has a passion for poetry, costume history, southern gothic literature, and museology, as well as exploring the nature of North Florida. In addition to her personal projects, she runs The Silk and Cotton Shop, designing and selling greeting cards, art prints, and paper goods.
