A New Renaissance, featuring Jason John & Amy Bennion is an awe-inspiring exhibit showcasing artists who incorporate elements of art history into their work in a contemporary way, with a focus on the Renaissance and enlightenment era. The Renaissance was a fervent period of European cultural, artistic, political, and economic “rebirth” following the Middle Ages. Generally described as taking place from the 14th century to the 17th century, the Renaissance promoted the rediscovery of classical philosophy, literature and art. Submissions should pay tribute to this artistic movement and techniques, but with a new spin! While the focus should be on Renaissance era, other art history references are welcome as well. Should be inspirational and contemporary. Open call to artists, all mediums welcome. Reproductions of classic work will be disqualified.
