Teen MultimediaStudents will engage in numerous multimedia projects that will help them discover themselves as artists in this welcoming and productive classroom. The class will teach the students a strong understanding of basic art techniques through a variety of art and craft-based projects. Each student will gain a foundational awareness of different art styles by engaging in projects based on the works of real-life artists like Vincent Van Gogh, Andy Warhol, and Chuck Close. From an explanation on one-point perspective to an introduction to 3D constructions, the students by the end of the course will have a variety of projects that can all be taken home and enjoyed!

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTORLINDSAY MERRILL
Originally from Orlando, Lindsay Merrill is currently an undergrad at Florida State University studying to receive a double major in Studio Art and Media Communication Studies with a minor in Art History. Lindsay’s mother was originally born and raised in Tallahassee so she is excited to finally engage with the community that her mom has spoken so highly about! Lindsay is a mixed media artist who has had a piece exhibited within the Mennello Museum of American Art and works that have won contests at the Maitland Rotary Art Festival. Lindsay has been an artist her whole life and is excited to impart her knowledge. She hopes to instill within her students the language to describe their techniques and teach them to regard their work with confidence, personal identity, and pride. |
