Teen Stop Motion AnimationThis course will teach the fundamentals of stop motion animation. Students will learn the core principles of animation and the art of stop motion through hands-on collaboration, producing a culminative short film by the end of the course. They will also be given the opportunity to work together in a studio environment, allowing them to develop skills not just in stop motion, but in teamwork, planning, and coordination.
This document outlines the general structure for a complete course on stop motion animation, as well as the contents for each lesson. It will be 8 weeks in length, with one class per week lasting 2-3 hours each. The final product of the course will be approximately a 20-30 second stop motion short film shot at 12 frames per second. It will be a collaborative effort from all students, filmed entirely within class and edited together by the teacher afterwards. |
