
DIY Pottery Tools: Sprig Molds
Learn how to make your own custom sprig molds to add unique sculptural details to your pottery! Sprig molds are a great way to make duplicate clay pieces to add interest to your pots, make small items, create tiles, and more.
In this hands-on workshop, Carole will guide you through the step-by-step process for different plaster mold making methods. Everyone will complete 1-3 of their small own molds during the workshop to take home. Discussions will include plaster use and storage, calculating plaster volume for different containers, and studio safety.
Workshop includes:
● Mold making kit (4” round mold former, brush, clips, mixing cups, stirrer)
● Clay for sculpting sprig designs
● Use of studio tools
● Plaster to make 1-3 small molds during class
Enjoy a fun day in a shared studio environment while learning to make your own pottery tools!
Experience Level: All levels - no prior clay experience required.
