Dear Friend of LeMoyne,
In 1963 LeMoyne Arts was founded by 5 fervent supporters of the arts: Mary Metzke, Clifton Lewis, June Strauss, and Nanette Fisher along with the first President, Al Block. Thanks to the advocacy and dedication of our founders, and the commitment and support of our community, we are here today continuing to grow and encourage life-long learning, appreciation and participation in the arts for all ages.
In celebration of 60 years of community and art the Art & Soul Celebration will take place on Thursday, October 19 from 5:30 – 8:30 pm in the LeMoyne gardens (125 N. Gadsden St.). Join us as we celebrate with live music, heavy hors d'oeuvres, open bars featuring festive specialty cocktails, and the highly anticipated silent & live auctions featuring fine art and all things good for the soul. Art & Soul is a celebration of our community, and the art we create together, and this year we are excited to celebrate Susan Baldino as the recipient of the 2023 Richard L. Puckett Leadership in Arts award! Susan received her M.A. in Art History at FSU and her Ph.D. in Museum Studies from the University of Leicester (U.K.) She has served on the Florida Council on Arts and Culture, was a longstanding board member of the Florida Association of Museums Foundation and has served as its chair. Her work on inclusive learning in museums for students on the autism spectrum is a shining example of bringing arts to all people.
On behalf of our team, I ask for your support as a sponsor of Art & Soul. Your sponsorship directly supports continued year-long programming at LeMoyne Arts – helping us continue the legacy that has been built over 60 years for our community, and new generations, to enjoy.
See you in October!
