MOMENTUM GATHERS — NEW GOALS EMERGEThe Art for Always capital campaign is experiencing resounding success primarily attributable to LeMoyne Arts’ place in the hearts and minds of those it serves — artists, arts lovers and advocates, educators, students and friends from all walks of life. As of mid-March, over $2,000,000 has been raised -- $1,000,000 in grant funding from the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) – Tourist Development Council (TDC) and $1,000,000 from DONORS LIKE YOU.
USE OF FUNDS TO DATEThe CRA -TDC grant was combined with $300,000 in other donated funds to purchase the building that will become LeMoyne’s art education center. There is no debt associated with this acquisition.
NEW GOAL OF $3,200,000New campaign goals and identified LeMoyne improvements and enhancements have emerged as a result of the community's superlative response. The initial campaign goal was $2,700,000 — $2,200,000 for capital additions and improvements and $500,000 to create a facilities endowment. The NEW GOAL is $3,200,000 — $2,700,000 for capital and $500,000 for endowment.
ENGAGEMENT AND CHARITABLE CONTRIBUTIONSYour engagement and charitable contributions are essential to attaining the new goal and to the ultimate funding of LeMoyne's master plan to expand its already-renowned art education program through the creation of an art education center and a regional ceramics program with an enhanced kiln complex. There will be extensive garden refinements – from infrastructure to design and construction of a new gazebo and plaza with improved physical accessibility to all facilities and parking (New Education Center and Garden Refinements). The plan also embraces and serves the region's community of artists.
HOW CAN YOU HELPLeMoyne Arts offers a variety of gift planning options, including outright gifts of cash, securities, contributions from donor advised fund, IRA qualified charitable distributions, matching gifts from employers, and pledges spread over a scheduled period of time.
Further, LeMoyne welcomes corporate and foundation grants, real and personal property, deferred gift provisions under wills, living trusts, designations of retirement plan assets, charitable remainder trusts, other life income gifts, and through signature events such as the Chain of Parks Art Festival and Art & Soul Celebration. Contributions of life insurance policies and charitable lead trusts are also accepted. Gifts in any amount are most welcome or you may want to capture the spirit of LeMoyne by contributing at a level that will name a specific location at LeMoyne. Recognition Opportunities abound for donors both individually or as collective groups. Thank you for your favorable consideration. THE THOMAS A. GUILDAY CELEBRATION GAZEBOConstruction pictures of the Thomas A. Guilday Celebration Gazebo.
Tommy Guilday, the beloved son of Kathy and Tom Guilday and adored brother of sister Kerry Guilday Inger, was passionate about the arts, whether he was creating a drawing of Notre Dame Cathedral, visiting an exhibition at LeMoyne, playing the ukulele, or even learning to play the cello in his 30’s! Tommy loved spending time with family and friends and was justly famed for his cooking and entertaining skills, especially for helping to orchestrate countless FSU football tailgate parties!
Tommy was a very special person, part of a wonderful family, and memories of him and the joy that he brought to so many has inspired the creation of the Thomas A. Guilday Celebration Gazebo, a very special place where his spirit will preside over countless happy and fun-filled gatherings. Tommy's family and friends, who have contributed well over $100,000 to LeMoyne's Art for Always capital campaign, invite one and all to join them in this salute to Tommy by supporting LeMoyne Arts in "Creating Community Through Art." Donors were recognized at the Tommy Guilday Gazebo dedication ceremony in Winter 2023. THE RON YRABEDRA DRAWING AND PAINTING STUDIOThis studio naming in LeMoyne's new art education center is a tribute to the legacy of the late Ron Yrabedra and his love for LeMoyne. An artist, teacher, and leader, Ron played a major role in the development of LeMoyne as a local treasure and will now be remembered through this meaningful creative space.
LeMoyne is seeking to raise $100,000 from among Ron's friends, students, and colleagues. LeMoyne is proud to create this teaching space and to make it the best it can be through the generous donations of those who knew and respected Ron and his life's work. |
