STORY TELLING: Summer Art Camp
The Art of Fairytales & Folklore! (ages 6 - 12) This summer we will focus on the many types of stories told around the world! Each session will focus on a new region and feature artmaking that takes inspiration from the local fairytales and folklore, arts and culture! From European fairytales and Japanese folklore to Brazilian myths and African fables our campers will explore a world of stories. Each day campers will take four art classes: drawing/painting, mixed media, 3D sculpture and ceramics. Through these classes campers learn about the cultures from which these stories come, experience new artmaking approaches and techniques, and make a series of artworks to take home and enjoy at the end of each session. The last Friday of each session will feature an Arty Party (12:45PM to 1:30PM) in which campers may invite their families into the studios to celebrate and view the artwork made during the session, and enjoy snacks, drinks, and fun! Full Day Two-Week Session Fee:
