Knitting for Beginners
Knitting is more than a craft—it’s a calming, creative practice that connects generations and builds community. This beginner‑friendly class introduces the fundamentals of knitting in a supportive, relaxed environment. Students will learn how to cast on, knit, bind off, and follow a simple pattern while working on a small project of their choice.
Participants may choose from:
Skinny Scarf (1 skein) – a simple, approachable first project
Larger Adult Scarf (2 skeins) – for those who want extra length
Fingerless Mitts (1 skein) – a quick, modern alternative with a simple thumb hole
Each class builds on the last, with plenty of time for guidance, questions, and encouragement. By the end of the course, students will feel confident in their skills and ready to continue knitting on their own.
