Studios of LeMoyne
Transcript
Welcome to The Studios of LeMoyne – an exciting addition to the LeMoyne Arts campus. This building, originally a row of five townhomes, served as LeMoyne’s art education center from 1993 until 2023. The building has been reimagined as a dynamic place serving artists, events, and other community needs through LeMoyne’s Art for Always Master Plan Project. The renovated space includes artist studios for lease, the XOJ Salon and Courtyard meeting spaces, and support space for events held in the garden. Event rental facilities serving the gardens include accessible restrooms, a warming kitchen, and the Fortunas Family Suite. LeMoyne’s ceramics program has been equally enhanced through these investments, with two new pottery studios being added on the lower level of the building. The improvements through the Art for Always Project were made possible through generous donations from donors and redevelopment grant support from the Tallahassee Community Redevelopment Agency.
As you continue your tour, we invite you to follow the path down to the Rockwood Pavilion and listen there for more information on LeMoyne’s rich history of ceramic pottery firings.
