34th Mahaska Whitley Student Exhibition High School Art & Senior Portfolio Competition
This exhibit is named in honor of Mahaska Whitley as the exhibit founder along with Dick L. Puckett, LeMoyne Arts founding Executive Director. Ms. Whitley was an art teacher at Leon high school for many years, saying she “felt a need to have high school students understand the importance of how they presented their artwork, especially if they wanted to pursue their art career”. She also reflects that the annual exhibit “is such a gift to the community, for them to be able to recognize the talent that our young people have”. Ms. Whitley has attended the exhibit opening for 33 of the 34 years and always selects a student work for the prestigious Founders Award.

Zerbe Zelebration Expression & Evolution
The Zerbe Zelebration is a citywide multi-media exhibition of Expressionist Movement artist Karl Zerbe’s works as we mark the 50th anniversary of his retirement from FSU. This Zelebration kicks off LeMoyne's Chain of Parks Art Festival for 2021! As a world-renowned artist and FSU professor, Zerbe entrusted LeMoyne Arts with the largest collection of his artwork in the world. LeMoyne Arts will be showing 8 never-before-seen pieces for the Zelebration, along with hosting lectures and round table discussions on civil rights, Zerbe in his time and ours, and birding (Zerbe is best known in Tallahassee for his printed bird collection, inspired by his time at St. Marks Wildlife Sanctuary).

Women Among Us Portraits of Strength
WOMAN AMONG US: PORTRAITS OF STRENGTH recognizes the hidden gems of the community — women who generally don’t look for accolades, women who have dedicated themselves to what they love doing for decades, women over age 65. The WAU group of volunteers is working to mount this exhibit of large format photos of 17 area women still active and making a positive impact on your community. This exhibit and catalog are dedicated to Charlotte Williams, who passed away in January 2020.
