Mosaic Garden Art Workshop
This is a great way to decorate your garden! Create a 5-inch round mosaic piece of art you can hang in your yard. As with all my classes, I ask you to bring your fun, creative self! All materials and tools are provided.
We have a variety of scrap stained glass, as well as glass gems, for you to use. You'll be able to cut glass to create a design of your choice. I will have some designs available for inspiration, or you can choose to make your own. Either way, everyone will leave with a unique and beautiful piece of art to display!
You will be provided with a prepped 5-inch round cement board for your project. If you'd like to incorporate your own materials, feel free to bring them. If you're unsure whether they can be used, please bring them in for evaluation. Please wear old clothing and closed-toe shoes. If you’re coming from work, bring an apron or an old shirt to cover your business attire. You will be working with adhesive and grout—both of which do not wash out easily. Closed-toe shoes are required as we will be cutting glass. Shards are extremely sharp and may travel.
This workshop will include 2 meetings for completing the planter:
Meeting 1: Friday, June 12, 10:00AM - 2:00PM
Meeting 2: Friday, June 19, 10:00AM - 2:00PM
All needed materials and tools are supplied, although students may bring other objects (pebbles, ceramic pieces, etc.). Safety gear will be provided (gloves and face masks).
