Art From the Heart: MultimediaStudents will learn a variety of mediums from drawing, painting, to pen and ink through fun and engaging projects allowing them to translate their ideas creatively. The class will help the kids begin to understand the basic elements of art like line, shape, form, composition, and color theory by creating multiple art and craft-based projects. Each student will gain a foundational awareness of different art styles, so all are welcome in this class, no matter their initial skill level! From an explanation on one-point perspective to a zentangle landscape project, by the end of the course, students will have numerous completed multimedia projects to take home and enjoy!

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTORLINDSAY MERRILL
Originally from Orlando, Lindsay Merrill is currently an undergrad at Florida State University studying to receive a double major in Studio Art and Media Communication Studies with a minor in Art History. Lindsay’s mother was originally born and raised in Tallahassee so she is excited to finally engage with the community that her mom has spoken so highly about! Lindsay is a mixed media artist who has had a piece exhibited within the Mennello Museum of American Art and works that have won contests at the Maitland Rotary Art Festival. Lindsay has been an artist her whole life and is excited to impart her knowledge. She hopes to instill within her students the language to describe their techniques and teach them to regard their work with confidence, personal identity, and pride. |
