Marilyn Proctor Givens

2D/ Ceramics/Jewelry

Marilyn Proctor-Givens is an artist and has taught art for over three decades. Her artwork is a marriage between graphic design and ceramics. Her fascination and curiosity with clay and different firing methods occurred in college. After that experience, the clay form became her new 3D graphic canvas. Many of her clay works play around with color, texture, pattern, and other surface decorations using the Raku firing technique. After her trip to Africa, symbolism and adornment became an added focus in her work.
