Introduction to Story Illustration

This class will introduce the basics of children’s book illustration. We will begin with story ideas and sketches before moving on to mapping out our own books. After exploring and planning, we will complete at least one fully illustrated spread of your story and you will leave with the structure to keep creating.

​ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Kyle Maurey​

Kyle Maurey is a Tallahassee born artist who loves illustration. She studied at Savannah College of Art and Design before returning to teach art in town. Her hobbies include spending time in nature and with her dog Challah and her foster cats. She loves to create and share all types artistic adventures including watercolor, acrylics and drawing.
