Constructing a Stepping StoneSteppingstones for the yard or garden can be handmade and decorated with bits of glass, ceramic, or other objects. In this class, students will cast their own steppingstone out of mortar, then prepare a mosaic decoration for the surface and secure it with grout. Everyone will learn to safely cut or break the glass, mix mortar, and apply the grout.

Gadsden St.) Instructor: Shea Webb Tuition: $100 for members/$110 for non-members (Tuition includes a $30 supply fee for materials) Supplies: All needed materials and tools are included in tuition, although students may bring other objects (pebbles, ceramic pieces, etc.). ABOUT THE INSTRUCTORSHEA WEBB
Shea Webb has worked with stained glass for two years; she’s modified patterns and uses them to build steppingstones from the ground up. She learned this craft by studying with an instructor, Andrew Miller and her two mentors as well, Rita Riccardi of Glass Impressions New York, and Carol Webb of C3 Studios Inc. Georgia (no relation to self). She believes that using artwork to express yourself is a unique and creative way to explore our talents. |
