Teen Workshop: Introduction to IllustrationWhat happens when you have an idea for a drawing, but you don’t know where to start to make it come to life on the page? Introduction to illustration will teach students how to visually communicate their ideas by using the process that professional illustrators use!
Students will begin the workshop by mind mapping and are encouraged to let their imagination run free! During this time students will come up with several ideas and chose the best one to make an illustration out of. Students will learn how to make quick thumbnail sketches to work out the basics of how their drawing will look, coming up with several compositions and then pick the best one to move into the final with. Students will construct a final sketch based on their strongest thumbnail sketch and any references they have gathered. |
